Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

A drunken dad showed up at his ex-wife's door wielding a machete and racially abused her partner. Lee Halford had been drinking when he rang up his former partner at 10pm to complain about not having enough contact with his children.

Roughly 10 minutes after the phone call, the 42-year-old turned up at the Kidsgrove address holding a machete, Stoke-on-Trent Live reports.

Prosecutor Ekwall Tiwana explained to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court that the victim contacted police at 10.30pm on May 16, saying that his girlfriend's ex-husband had arrived at the home armed with the weapon.Mr Tiwana said: "The victim was in bed with his partner at 10pm when the telephone rang.

It was the defendant."The victim took the phone and said, 'You can't be ringing here at this time'. The defendant said, 'Are you trying to stop me seeing my kids?
