Teenager and gran face life-changing injuries after botched surgeries at same hospital

A teenager and a gran were left with life-changing injuries following botched brain surgeries carried out at the same hospital just weeks apart.

Arundeep Marva and Jane Grocott both have severe brain damage after doctors made calamitous errors during their operations in 2018.

Both patients suffered strokes whilst under the knife at Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital, caused by medics damaging their blood vessels, according to Birmingham Live.

Arundeep, then 18, had a stroke when an artery in his brain was torn while he underwent an operation for a cancerous brain tumour in September 2018.
