Teenage girl struck by van and rushed to hospital in Edinburgh

A teenager was rushed to hospital this morning after she was hit by a van in Edinburgh. Cops are appealing for information following the 'serious crash' on Calder Road at around 7.35am on Thursday November, 24.

Officers say a 19 year-old woman was struck by a white Ford Transit van and she was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The male driver of the van was uninjured.The road was locked down until around 11.45am as officers launched a probe into the incident.Further enquiries remain ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
