A taxi firm has been forced to respond after footage circulated on social media allegedly showing one of its drivers holding a passenger at gunpoint.The footage, which appears to be from a dashcam, reportedly shows a FonaCab driver holding what appears to be a pistol to a passenger in the front seat before threatening him and striking him with the firearm.Responding to the incident, the Northern Irish firm said it was aware of the incident and is cooperating with local police who are investigating the incident.A FonaCab spokesperson told Belfast Live: "We are aware of dashcam footage of an incident involving a fonaCAB driver."fonaCAB has been liaising with the Driver & Vehicle Agency (DVA) Northern Ireland and the Police Service of Northern Ireland (P.S.N.I) regarding this."Due to the nature of the content of the footage, it would be inappropriate to make any further comment while investigations are undertaken."The company added on Thursday evening that the driver in the footage had since been let go.
