Now former academy boss Courts - who took Mellon’s job when he returned to Tranmere this summer - has hit out at the spin doctor tactics used by Mellon as he insisted Sunday’s draw with Celtic at Parkhead proves his side are good enough to compete with the top sides in Scotland.
