STAR WARS: VISIONS: Celebs Rumors

May the Fourth be with you, “Star Wars” fans. In honor the “Star Wars Day,” Disney+ has two new “Star Wars” series premiering on the streamer today, along with new trailers for each to build up hype.

May is yet another big month for new releases (not to mention finales as we excitedly await the end of “Barry” and “Succession” on the same night.) HBO might not yet have another surefire hit on its hands to emulate the success of the aforementioned two, but they have plenty of miniseries and comedy favorites. Elsewhere the world of “Bridgerton” continues its reign with a new spinoff series, just one of two Netflix series spinoffs with “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” getting similar treatment with “XO, Kitty.”  READ MORE: Summer 2023 TV Preview: 40 Must-See Shows To Watch Apple TV+ has a number of highly anticipated series coming out — as the streamer also contends with the nearing ending of “Ted Lasso” — with Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne teaming up again and Rebecca Ferguson making a strong impression on this week’s release of “Silo.” Elsewhere, we’re getting the return of fan favorites such as Hulu’s “The Great” and Netflix’s “I Think You Should Leave.”  “White House Plumbers”Woody Harrelson, Justin Theroux, Domnhall Gleeson, and Lena Heady star in HBO’s “White House Plumbers” from director David Mandel.

When most “Star Wars” fans think of Lucasfilm‘s slate of new Disney+ series, big names come to mind: “The Mandalorian,” Tony Gilroy‘s “Andor,” the upcoming “Ahsoka.” But critics love another series that’s more under the radar: “Star Wars: Visions.” The animated anthology series allows anime studios from around the world to reimagine “Star Wars” lore as they see fit in a variety of shorts.

Unless you’re living under a rock, you know that as soon as Disney+ started in late 2019, Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, and the Disney apparatus rolled out an ambitious plan for more and more “Star Wars,” including animated shows. While some of the live-action series haven’t come to fruition yet, or at all (“Lando,” “Rangers Of The Republic”), the animated side of Lucasfilm has seen no bumps in the road.

You’ll recall in late 2020, during Disney‘s major blitz where the company showed off its brand wares, Marvel, Pixar, and more, about ten new Lucasfilm projects were announced. Among things like “The Book Of Boba Fett” and an “Ahsoka Tano” limited series, a new anime anthology series, “Star Wars: Visions,” was announced.
