Adam Brody and wife Leighton Meester were all smiles as they shined on the red carpet at the premiere of on Tuesday.Brody rocked a blue suit and a white button-down shirt, sans tie, while Meester shimmered in a metallic copper-colored gown as they posed for photos outside the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles.Brody stopped to chat with ET's Ash Crossan, and opened up about the fun outing, while also playfully joking about his wife's stylish bangs.«It's bang night!» Brody said with a laugh. The highs and lows Zachary Levi must be experiencing have to be exhausting. In a matter of months, he went from having a highly-anticipated sequel to a breakout superhero film with “Shazam! Fury of the Gods.” Then, it was revealed that his franchise has an unknown future thanks to DC Studios going with a soft reboot of the superhero universe.

Even though it’s only been in theaters for a week, it’s clear from the box office receipts, thus far, “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” is not going to be a massive hit during its theatrical run. That marks two DC films in a row that have greatly underperformed at the box office (the other being “Black Adam” back in October of last year).

The marketing push for “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” has been an odd one, no doubt. The questions about the film’s future amid the soft reboot from new DC Studios co-CEOs, James Gunn and Peter Safran, dominated the discourse.

Fury of the Gods,” mild-mannered teen Billy Batson (Asher Angel, who transforms into Zachary Levi when powered up) learns the importance of togetherness as he and his team of hero pals save Philadelphia from a triumvirate of titanettes (Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu, and Rachel Zegler). Paired for the first time, screenwriters Chris Morgan and Henry Gayden got their own lesson in the fine art of teamwork as they joined forces for a lighter spin on the capes-and-tights picture.

Sandberg knew that if he was going to pull off another DC cameo in the sequel, it would have to be for real this time.And he pulled it off! One of the things that made “Shazam!” so engaging, entertaining, and different was that it brought humor, an endearing irreverence, and an exploration and development of character that satisfied the initiated but also drew in the unfamiliar. It felt natural, full of vigor, and inspired.

Lucy Liu isn't totally ruling out a return to .ET's Ash Crossan spoke to Liu at the  premiere in Los Angeles Tuesday, where Liu said that while she doesn't know «what lies ahead,» she would love to work with her fellow angels, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz again.«I don't know. I mean, of course, we love each other. So, any opportunity to work together would be fun, but I don't know what lies ahead.

Zachary Levi‘s Shazam flies back into theaters later this month in “Shazam! Fury Of The Gods” as the 12th installment of the DCEU. And the sequel sees Billy Baston and his foster siblings face off against the Daughters of Atlas to stop them from using a superweapon to destroy the world.

Much to the chagrin of fans around the world, there are plenty of actors who sign on for superhero films and aren’t massive fans of the properties. Sometimes, these actors are just professionals who get paid to show up and do their job.

So, James Gunn and Peter Safran have taken over the DC Universe with DC Studios. So far, that’s meant Henry Cavill out as Superman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman fate is unclear (though director Patty Jenkins threequel was rejected), Jason Momoa with vague but good news about his future, and everyone else with a big fat TBD.

Zachary Levi is all set to return as the kid-at-heart superhero in the upcoming sequel titled Shazam! Fury of the Gods and director David F Sandberg recently teased fans with the first footage of the film. The small clip hints at the superhero's new costume and it's sure to leave fans super excited.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods is all set to be a sequel to DC's 2016 film Shazam, which introduced us to Zachary Levi's kid-at-heart superhero. The film which is slated for a 2023 release has been making headlines for its casting.
