‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ has been delayed, and some say “just cancel it”
Assassin’s Creed Shadows would be delayed until next year, February 14.In a statement delivered to X/Twitter, the official Assassin’s Creed Shadows account wrote “we realize we need more time to polish and refine the experience, pushing further some of our key features.” The game was initially due to release November 15, 2024.In a note to investors, Ubisoft wrote the game was “feature complete,” but the “learnings from the Star Wars Outlaws release led us to provide additional time to further polish the title.” Outlaws was criticised by many players and reviewers for its numerous bugs at launch.“Just cancel it at this point lmao Ubisoft is cooked,” wrote dmvshaban. “Lol your trying to wait until the heat dies down,” claimed MeleeGames. Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been embroiled in the recent series of culture wars surrounding games that some deem “woke” for including diverse characters or themes.
