‘The View’ hosts crack up after Whoopi Goldberg appears to pass ‘gas’ on-air

They are soooo loud and talking over each other,” another user responded.“Wait did Whoopi just fart on national tv #TheView,” another asked.“Sure did,” said a responder.The talk show was interrupted weeks ago by another odd fart noise.In January, during a serious discussion about classified documents found at former Vice President Mike Pence’s Indiana home, a drink spilled and began leaking off the table.Goldberg pointed out to co-host Sara Haines that something was dripping, and as Haines looked down to see, she moved a little in her seat while what appeared to be a fart noise sounded on the mic.“We had a little spillage on the other side of the table,” co-host Alyssa Farah said, laughing and appearing a bit flustered. “Now it’s on my pants,” Haines said as she and Goldberg tried to clean up the spill.“The View” has had its share of unwanted interruptions in recent years.Last year, Joy Behar face-planted in front of the audience — which caused the show to unveil new chairs on set.More recently, Goldberg was heckled by an audience member who called her an “old broad” on live television.

Disney paid ABC $10M to show ‘The Little Mermaid’ teaser at 2023 Oscars
Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony when a teaser clip of the live-action version of “The Little Mermaid” aired during the telecast.The two-minute-long trailer debuted when the film’s stars Melissa McCarthy and Halle Bailey presented it onstage at the Dolby Theatre.Disney is said to have forked over $10 million to unveil the ad during the ABC broadcast, according to IndieWire — much higher than the cost of a 30-second spot which runs “between $1.6 million and $2.1 million.”ABC is a flagship property of Disney, but the House of Mouse actually paid the network $10 million to show the “Little Mermaid” ad spot during the Oscars. “Actual money actually changed hands,” the outlet reported, with a source saying the media companies are generally treated like “church and state.”According to Variety, Disney sold all of its ad spots — typically 60 to 70 commercial slots — for between $1.6 million and $2.1 million.“The Little Mermaid” used five 30-second spots for the trailer which is why it cost about three times as much for the Oscars sneak peek, an insider told IndieWire.Pfizer, Sony, Starbucks, Rolex and Verizon are among the brands which bought commercial time during the 2023 Academy Awards.Elsewhere in the show, Morgan Freeman and Margot Robbie also presented a 90-second Warner Bros.

Nancy Meyers rom-com not moving forward at Netflix: report
Hollywood Reporter.The company gave her a cap of $130 million, according to the report, but the filmmaker requested $150 million.The flick had Scarlett Johansson, Penélope Cruz, Michael Fassbender and Owen Wilson in talks to star.The name was allegedly titled “Paris Paramount” and Meyers was set to write, direct and produce the feature.The project was announced last year and the plot would have chronicled a young writer-director who falls head over heels for a movie producer.The Post reached out to Meyers for comment.The synopsis is semi-autobiographical for Meyers, as she was married to director Charles Shyer for almost two decades.The duo worked on a few iconic comedies over the years such as “Private Benjamin,” “Baby Boom” and “Father of the Bride.”The movie would have been Meyer’s first flick since the 2015 Anne Hathaway rom-com “The Intern.”In December 2022, Meyers responded to rumors about a sequel to her much-loved 2006 film, “The Holiday.”But she shot down any chatter about a second installment on social media at the time, saying: “So many DM’s about this — sorry but it’s not true.” It was reported previously that the possible sequel had returning stars Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Jack Black on board, with production beginning earlier this year.The “Titanic” star, 47, also separately denied that there was a sequel for “The Holiday” in place.“I read something about that, but it’s the first I’ve heard of it,” Winslet told People at the time. “I promise you not an agent or a representative or anyone from the first one around has had any conversation with me about that.
