Swimmer Caeleb Dressel Sets New World Record for Men's 100m Butterfly at Tokyo Olympics

Caeleb Dressel is breaking more records at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan! The 24-year-old swimmer earned a third gold medal at the summer games in the Mens’ 100m Butterfly event. Caeleb was at the top of the leader board with an impressive 49.45 seconds, which beat his own world record of 49.50 seconds.

He also earned two other gold medals earlier in the games this week for the men’s 100m freestyle and the men’s 4x100m freestyle relay. Caeleb will also be competing in the men’s 50m freestyle semifinals later on Saturday (August 1), and will also compete in the mixed-gender medley relay, which is a brand new event for the games.
