Suspected drink driver arrested after car overturns in smash

A man has been arrested for drink driving after a car overturned in a crash. Photos from the scene in Cheetham Hill show the car on its side.

Now, police have revealed that the man who is suspected of driving the car was over the limit. He was reportedly four times over the legal limit when performing a roadside breathalyser.

Roadside breathalyser samples are not used as an official measure of the driver’s intoxication. Motorists who blow a positive result are typically taken to a police station for more testing. The force’s traffic division tweeted on Saturday afternoon: “One from yesterday evening in Cheetham Hill, where the suspected driver of this vehicle was arrested by #XT74 for providing a roadside breath sample more than times [times] the legal limit.
