Morning telly viewers were left stunned on Wednesday as Ayrshire featured on ITV’s This Morning and Loose Women during a Burns Day segment.Glenapp Castle, in South Ayrshire’s Ballantrae, was the setting for television personality Gok Wan to celebrate Burns Day alongside top local talent - and to announce a £100,000 January Jackpot competition.The TV presenter, fashion guru and chef was joined by Maybole Pipe Band, Kilmarnock’s Borland Ceilidh Band, piper Liam Rodger and highland dancers from Aileen Robertson School of Highland Dancing- all in traditional Scottish dress- to mark the birth of the country’s national Bard.Local talent played and danced in true ceilidh fashion behind Gok as he revealed the details of the competition.The segment also featured Burns Night traditions including addressing the Haggis and a wee dram to Rabbie.Gok said while announcing the competition: “It’s incredible here - we’ve got haggis, we’ve got pipers, we’ve got drums."I'm having the best time.
