Join thousands of others in getting the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox.The owner of a much-loved community art gallery in Paisley is looking forward to a bright future thanks to support from Social Investment Scotland.The Sunshine Gallery was formed by artist Garry Byars 12 years ago on level two of the Paisley Centre.It has been closed during lockdown, but, determined not to let things slide, Garry got in touch with Social Investment Scotland and was accepted onto its two-week intensive retail training course.Now he’s putting together a business plan for a new large community arts project which he hopes will create employment and provide opportunities to the community.Garry explained: “I’m part of Social Enterprise.
