Sunderland ace tips Stuart Kettlewell for Motherwell job

Sunderland striker Ross Stewart has urged Motherwell to hand their vacant manager's post to Stuart Kettlewell.Kettlewell has taken interim charge at the Fir Park club in the wake of Steven Hammell's departure, and has been handed the reins for Sunday's clash at home to Hearts, having steered them to a 2-1 win over St Mirren on Wednesday.Stewart, 26, who played under Kettlewell at Ross County before heading to Sunderland, insists he's baffled that Kettlewell hasn't been in a managerial position since leaving Ross County in 2020.

Speaking to the Daily Record, former Albion Rovers star Stewart said: "With the situation Motherwell are in, and knowing the way Stuart works, he would be ideal for that job.
