Molly Rainford is set to burst onto Albert Square as newcomer Anna Knight in upcoming EastEnders episodes, and the actress has reflected on how ‘nuts’ her role is.

Anna will arrive in Walford alongside sister Gina (Francesca Henry) and dad George (Colin Salmon) as they prepare to move into the Queen Vic with Linda Carter and Elaine Peacock (Kellie Bright and Harriet Thorpe).

Molly explained the surreal experience of filming for a show that she has grown up watching, describing it as ‘incredible’. ‘It is nuts!

All of us have watched EastEnders for as long as we can remember and most of us resonate with the east end. Most of our families are from there so it feels important. ‘I watched it so I feel like I’ve been here before.
