Strictly Come Dancing signs Tony Adams to join Kym Marsh and Matt Goss on dancefloor

The footballer joins a star-studded 2022 line-up that has already confirmed BGT star Mollie Rainford, Corrie's Kym Marsh and Paralympian Ellie Simmonds among those joining the dance floor for this year's show.
Sharing his joy at landing a spot on the show, he said: 'To say I’m excited is an understatement - the lure of the sequins and the call of the salsa has me swapping my battered old football boots for a set of Strictly soft shoes. "Am absolutely thrilled to be giving it my all on this year’s 20th anniversary of Strictly Come Dancing.
I can’t wait to meet my partner - god help her - and start the dancing.” Sharing the news on the official Strictly Instagram, the show confirmed: "Joining our #Strictly squad in 2022 it's Arsenal and England football legend Tony Adams! @tonyadamsofficial".Tony's football career spans over two decades, playing for both Arsenal and England, and famously led the national team to the Euro 96 final.
He's a dad to six with his wife Poppy and was awarded an MBE in 1999. After retiring from football, Tony later set up his own organisation called SIX MHS, which provides mental health and addiction services and has set up his own charity, 6 Addiction, for people that can’t afford private mental health services.
