ScotRail says it’s dealing with the aftermath of “one of the most severe storms in years” after Storm Arwen caused travel chaos across the country.
The national train operator said the storm, which brought winds of more than 80mph over Friday and Saturday, littered the railway with fallen trees, debris and power lines.
A rare red weather warning was issued by the Met Office for eastern parts of Scotland and police warned people not to travel, and thousands of customers were still without electricity on Sunday.
