Stop-and-search powers have been extended and two further arrests have been made following a spate of violence in parts of Trafford and Manchester.
A Section 60 order - allowing police to stop-and-search anyone within an area - was put in place for parts of Hulme, Old Trafford and Whalley Range on Wednesday (May 31) after 'recent incidents of violent crime'.
A man, aged 18, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article. The order was extended for 24 hours until Friday.
