Officers confirmed the motor had been stolen from Murray Street.Images from the scene show the black Honda Civic sitting on top of a four foot high object within the roundabout on the B721.The motor is suspended on the dark-red cylinder, which is lodged beneath the centre of the car, holding it in place.The area around the crash site was coned off by police, while a recovery truck could be seen in the background.Baffled locals expressed their shock at the early morning sight, with many unable to comprehend how the car ended up balanced on the object around a metre off the ground.On social media, Lindsay Milligan commented: "Surely that has been put up there by a crane!!
If someone has landed it up there, how fast were they going."Jennifer Kerr added: "I've been trying to suss this out for ages, I thought it was photoshopped."
