Stevie Wonder is ready to say goodbye to the United States. In a new interview with Oprah Winfrey, the 70-year-old music icon said that he has plans to move to Ghana in Africa because he wants to protect his children, grandchildren, and more family to come from the racial injustice in the U.S. “I wanna see this nation smile again,” Stevie shared with Oprah (via People). “And I want to see it before I leave to travel to move to Ghana, because I’m going to do that.” “I don’t want to see my children’s children’s children have to say, ‘Oh, please like me.
Please respect me. Please know that I am important. Please value me,’” Stevie added. “What kinda [life is that]?” This is not the first time Stevie has talked about moving to Ghana.
