Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Steven Gerrard will need to wait until next week before finding out if he'll be able to be on the touchline for his side's game against Celtic.The Ibrox gaffer’s hearing with the SFA was due to take place on Friday afternoon only to be adjourned until Monday due to ‘technical difficulties’.The initial hearing was due to take place on Thursday but was moved back until Friday at a late stage, and now it's been postponed for a second time.It means Gerrard will face another nervous few days before finding out if he will be banned for comments he made following Rangers’ 4-0 win over Dundee United last month.Gerrard was critical of the decision not to send off United defender Ryan Edwards after he left Alfredo Morelos with a gash in his leg.
