As reported by the Mirror, it is believed he suffered a bad reaction to some medication after having a few drinks with his meal at Pizza Express.
He underwent a procedure earlier in the day for which he was administered an anaesthetic. Staff at the restaurant are said to have become concerned for the telly favourite's welfare, so called an ambulance at around 8pm on Wednesday.
Stephen was taken to a hospital in Surrey after being assessed by paramedics, where he was then checked over as a precaution.
