Stalker cop who harassed fellow officer slapped with 12 month contact ban

A serving Police Scotland inspector has been slapped with a 12 month non-harassment order after he admitted stalking a fellow officer.Stewart Andrew was also fined £1125 and ordered to pay a £75 victim surcharge to the woman, who he had previously been in a relationship with.The 45-year-old will now be referred to the force’s Professional Standards Department after appearing for sentencing at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday, February 27.He earlier admitted engaging in a course of conduct that caused his ex-partner fear or alarm between January 15 and 26 last year by repeatedly sending her emails.On one occasion, Andrew also turned up at the woman’s home address in Kirkcaldy when not invited and was not welcome.The offence was aggravated by domestic abuse of a former partner.

After a lengthy career, Andrew was promoted to the rank of inspector in 2019 but now faces losing his job over the stalking conviction.
