Spain has confirmed that Covid-19 travel rules will remain in place for UK flyers until May 15. It is one of the few countries in the European Union still imposing entry rules even though most tourists are not affected.
The Ministry of the Interior confirmed the decision to extend an order first imposed on July 2020. It is trusted that the rest of the rules will be lifted in the next few weeks to accommodate the sought after holiday location for non-EU/Schengen arrivals - even if they are not vaccinated or recovered from Coronavirus, Glasgow Live reports.
UK flyers can still enter mainland Spain, the Canary Islands and the Balearics with no conditions as long as they have one of the following documents:If the initial vaccination treatment was completed more than nine months previously (270 days), they’ll need to show they’ve had a Covid-19 booster jab UK travellers who are able to show proof of full vaccination, or having recovered from Covid-19 within the last six months to travelling, or who are under the age of 12 will not have to fill out Spain's Travel Health Control Form.
All unvaccinated travellers, will have to complete the form no more than 48 hours before arrival. Children under the age of 12 can enter restriction-free.
