The duo joined forces for a rendition of their song “Applause” from Tell It Like a Woman. Their contribution to the film’s soundtrack is up for Best Original Song during the ceremony.
Dressed in all white, Sofia started the song underneath a dramatic spotlight before introducing Diane as the “14-time Academy Award nominee” at the piano. Sofia and Diane are facing off against Lady Gaga (“Hold My Hand” from Top Gun Maverick) and Rihanna (“Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever).
