Every day the NHS gives an update on virus-related deaths recorded by hospital trusts in England in the previous 24 hour period.

These are cases where someone has died within 28 days of a positive test or where Covid-19 is mentioned on their death certificate.

Today, Wednesday April 7, six new deaths were announced by trusts in Greater Manchester. Three of these occurred at Pennine Acute NHS Trust who run North Manchester General Hospital, Fairfield General, The Royal Oldham Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary.
