Ferguson will be hoping the rest of the evening is more positive for his beloved Scotland after an inauspicious start. He looked disgruntled with the window wound down as his driver spoke to the steward directing cars into the various parking areas.
Ferguson retired from management in 2013 having won 17 league titles in total. He steered Aberdeen to the European Cup in 1983 and won the Champions League twice with United.
