Hosting my own talk show is a dream come true and I’m so excited to take viewers on this joyous journey,” Sherri said in a statement, via EW. “My new show will be something truly fun and fresh, a daily hour of entertainment escapism with plenty of laughter, fun and flirtiness as I give my take on pop culture,” Sherri continued. “And I’m so glad to have such an awesome senior production team helping to make this magic a reality.” Sherri is taking over the timeslot of The Wendy Williams Show, which officially ended earlier this month after 13 seasons. Sherri and other stars had been filling in for Wendy as guest host of her show since 2021, due to Wendy taking a step back amid health issues and other behind-the-scenes turmoil. David Perler – who was the executive producer and showrunner for 12 of the past 13 seasons of The Wendy Williams Show – will be continuing his roles on Sherri. Wendy recently shared her thoughts on Sherri taking over her timeslot.
