Scottish Government 's "lack of clarity" over how vaccine passports are to be implemented at football grounds. The government's plan from vaccine certification comes into effect from October 1st and covers all outdoor events with more than 10,000 spectators.

That will affect a significant chunk of Scottish football matches and SFA chief Neil Doncaster has suggested it won't be feasible for the likes of Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs to check every fan at the turnstiles.

He proposed an alternative plan which centred on spot-checks - where a small percentage of fans would be asked to present their vaccine passport at random, with no prior notice.It is argued this would ensure the vast majority of fans attending matches would carry.
