SFA and SPFL have announced that clubs across the country will unite in a social media boycott this weekend in response to vile racist abuse aimed at players and staff.

Clubs across Scotland will leave their social media accounts dormant from 3pm on Friday, April 30 until 23.59pm on Monday, May 3.

The boycott also includes accounts for the SFA, the SPFL, Scottish Women's Football and PFA Scotland. Record Sport reported on Tuesday night that all 42 SPFL clubs are on board.

Clubs are encouraged to take part in full or by signing off any limited social media activity with the hashtag #FootballUnites.
