Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Seven people arrested after crowd of 300 turned up to 'riot' on Scots street

Seven people have been arrested after a crowd gathered outside a Scots home last month in a night of 'large-scale disorder'.Two people were injured and police cars damaged when around 300 people turned up at a home on Graham Street in Brucehill, Dumbarton, on Tuesday February 28.Videos of the alleged incident appeared to show fireworks being set off close to homes in the residential street with some objects, including bricks, apparently thrown at officers and the property, while the crowd refused to disperse.Police at the time said the incident was believed to be as a result of 'inaccurate information circulating online'.Officers acting under warrant, entered five properties in Clydebank, Glasgow, Port Glasgow, Wishaw and Livingston on Friday.Police investigating the incident have now confirmed four men aged, 21, 27, 45 and 48 and three women, aged 31, 36 and 43 were arrested and charged with mobbing and rioting.They are expected to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday March 20.Detective Inspector Bernadette Walls said: “I would like to thank the local community of Brucehill for their support and co-operation throughout this investigation."Crime affects the whole community and can cause fear and alarm, we aim to address these issues.

It’s important local residents, workers and visitors to the area feel secure and reassured that they can go about their day-to-day lives free from the fear of violence and antisocial behaviour."Enquiries are ongoing and additional officers remain in the area to provide reassurance to the local community.
