Amy Jo Johnson, who played the Pink Ranger in the original Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers TV series, has her next movie to direct in the works.
Johnson is set to helm Ends of the Earth, a dramatic love story set against the backdrop of the September 11, 2001 attacks, with Erica Huggins, president of Fuzzy Door Productions — the Family Guy mastermind Seth MacFarlane's production banner — on board to produce.
The Power Rangers alum wrote the script for Ends of the Earth over the summer amid the coronavirus pandemic lockdown. Set in Gander, Newfoundland, the indie pic portrays a romance told over three key moments in a woman’s life where she experiences an intense, yet ill-timed connection with a grief-stricken, guilt-ridden man who she meets.
