Coachella has reportedly been fined $117,000 (£94,494) for breaking its curfew on all three days of weekend one.The fines come after the festival ran for over 20 minutes past its approved curfew on each day from April 14 to April 16, per Pitchfork. The festival ran 25 minutes past its curfew on Friday (April 14), 22 minutes on Saturday (April 15) and 25 minutes on Sunday (April 16).Pitchfork reports that the fines are part of an agreement between Coachella organiser Goldenvoice and the city of Indio, California dating back to 2013.

Hollywood’s elite came dressed to impress for weekend 1 of the jam-packed three-day event in Indio, California.  Reality television star Kourtney Kardashian kicked off her fun-filled Coachella weekend with an early birthday celebration at her exclusive adult campground for her lifestyle brand Poosh.  Husband and rocker Travis Barker joined in on the celebration as Kardashian’s company team surprised her with a colorful birthday cake.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival festival continues today, April 15, with performances on the second day due from boygenius, Rosalía, Charli XCX, and Ethel Cain among many others. BLACKPINK top the bill, becoming the first K-pop act to ever headline Coachella, and elusive British artist Jai Paul will play his first live show ever (the performance, however, is not currently listed on the livestream's schedule.

Coachella will be streaming this year’s performances on its official YouTube Channel from more stages than ever before across its two weekends, April 14-16 and April 21-23. There are six feeds, each of which corresponds with one of the festival’s stages: Coachella Main Stage, Outdoor Theater, Sahara, Mojave, Gobi, Sonora (weekend 2 Yuma Stage). With fans anticipating a star-studded list of headliners like Bad Bunny, Blackpink and Frank Ocean, this year’s festival is the first that notably consists of a lineup of over 50% international artists.  As in other recent years, Coachella 2023 will be available to stream online via its official YouTube channel on the first weekend — and the good news is that this marks the full time the second weekend will also have just an extensive slate of streaming instead of just select highlights. Livestreams are accessible on desktop, mobile or the YouTube app via Coachella’s official YouTube page. For the first time, six of the stages from the festival — instead of the usual three — will be accessible for streaming, starting April 14 at 4 p.m. PT (and continuing on April 21 at the same time for the festival’s second weekend). Following each day of festivities, Coachella’s YouTube will rerun video performances from the day prior.

The 2023 Coachella Music Festival is kicking off this weekend and some of our favorite performers will be hitting the stage throughout the festival.

Ethan Shanfeld Porter Robinson is a student of live music. Just days before the acclaimed DJ and musician flies to Los Angeles to begin rehearsing for his main stage Coachella set, he spends much of our 20-minute interview recounting recent performances that stuck out to him. But when discussing his favorite concerts, Robinson is mostly focused on how the artists carry themselves onstage. He first brings up James Ivy, the Korean-American singer and producer who opened for Robinson on his North American “Nurture” tour, whom he calls “one of the most talented young artists in the world right now.” “When he made a mistake on the guitar in his show, he would just laugh and talk about it,” Robinson says of Ivy. “It was so endearing. You could see everybody relax as soon as he did that. That kind of genuine, honest, unflattering vulnerability is so likable. It’s hard, especially when you’re in front of a bajillion people in a live stream like Coachella. But it makes for some of the most memorable moments.”
