Second person hit by train on Glasgow line in less than 24 hours

Glasgow Central and Paisley Gilmour Street stations; the second in less than 24 hours. At around 6pm on Saturday ScotRail confirmed the sad news on social media.

Services between Glasgow Central and Ayr, Largs, Ardrossan, Wemyss Bay and Gourock have been affected.Passengers are being urged to travel between Glasgow Central and Paisley Canal, if they can.

A spokesperson said: "Sadly, we've had reports that a person has been struck by a train between Glasgow Central and Paisley Gilmour Street."All services between Glasgow Central and Ayr, Largs, Ardrossan, Wemyss Bay and Gourock are being disrupted."Glasgow Central to Paisley Canal is unaffected."Our services from Ayr, Largs, Ardrossan, Wemyss Bay and Gourock will operate between those.
