Fife road.Emergency services raced to the scene on the A985 near Cairneyhill at around 1.50pm on Monday following reports of a one vehicle accident.A red Vauxhall Corsa, which was being driven by a 74-year-old man, had left the roadway and collided with a tree.Both pensioners were taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where medics described their conditions as ‘serious’ and ‘critical’.Police Scotland have now confirmed that the 74-year-old female passenger has sadly died from her injuries.A force spokesperson said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a woman has died following a serious crash on the A985 at Cairneyhill, Fife.“The incident happened around 1.50pm on Monday, 19 October, 2020, when a car came off the road and struck a tree.“A.
