Scots P&O ferry drama as two people 'overboard' sparks major rescue mission

The passenger vessel was sailing between Larne and Cairnryan when the alarm was raised.Lifeboats, helicopters, and a rescue plane were deployed and teams searched the water for six hours.They have since concluded nobody is in distress and stood down all operations in the water.K9 Search & Rescue NI said: "We were requested to assist in a search for two possible missing people, from a passenger ferry operating between Larne and Cairnryan."We assisted Coastguard Rescue Teams from Portmuck, Bangor and Larne."As well as RNLI Larne lifeboat."Coastguard Rescue Teams from Stranraer, Portpatrick and Ballantrae along with Portpatrick and Stranraer RNLI lifeboats.
