Animal rescue officers Darren and Sarah attended the scene after the alarm was raised by concerned locals.When they opened the car the terrified otter managed to make his escape and darted off believed to be uninjured.The SSPCA said: "When Sarah and Darren opened the bonnet, it turned out the otter didn’t need their help as he shot out of there and ran away as fast as he could!"Because of his speed, Sarah and Darren were unable to give him a thorough check over, but it is unlikely he was injured as there is no way he could have made his getaway if.Read more on dailyrecord.co.uk
