A Scottish Labour MSP has slammed a Red Wall MP for defecting from the Conservatives to Labour ahead of Prime Minister's Questions.

Mercedes Villalba took to social media to hit out at Christian Wakeford who moved to the Labour benches just 10 minutes before PMQs.

Wakeford, MP for Bury South, said the country needs a government that "upholds the highest standards of integrity and probity" but told Johnson "both you and the Conservative Party as a whole have shown themselves incapable of offering the leadership and government this country deserves".
