Scots gritter ploughs into garden wall after skidding on icy street

Aberdeen. The truck was spreading salt on Deeside Gardens when the wheels lost traction on the road causing the large vehicle to begin sliding.

The lorry came to a rest after colliding with the brick wall of a house in the Braeside area of the city on Wednesday morning.

A video taken at the scene shows a worker spreading grit from a nearby bin behind the stricken vehicle as it remains lodged in place.It is not currently known if anyone suffered any injuries during the collision.Police Scotland confirmed they were not called in connection with the crash.
