A Scots dad who tooted his car horn for help when he thought he was having a stroke has been diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Donald McPherson was picking up a prescription for son James, 22, on November 24 when he suddenly felt ill in his car. The 66-year-old from Aberdeen felt his jaw 'give way' as his face 'uncontrollably quivered' and he immediately knew something serious was happening.

Donald knew he needed to get someones attention and began beeping his car horn for help. Thanks to his quick thinking, two schoolboys ran to his aid and alerted staff at the chemist who then called an ambulance.

The water technician told the Record: "I got out of my car and I turned back to get my face mask. My jaw just gave way and uncontrollably quivered.
