A Scots dad has died just seven days after being told he had terminal cancer when he was rushed into hospital with fluid in his lungs.

Gavin Nicolson, 57, was taken by ambulance to the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh after struggling to breathe on Thursday, November 10.

Medics drained the fluid in his lungs - however, after more tests, doctors discovered Gavin had terminal cancer that had spread all over his body and into his brain.
