The Transit had crossed the centre lines of the road while going around a bend on the A911 at Orwell Farm, between Milnathort and Balgedie, at around 8.40am.
It then smashed into the other vehicle before driving away from the area.The van, which also sustained damage to the front end, was later seen in Wester Balgedie travelling at excessive speed.Police are appealing for witnesses who may have information or who saw the van around the time of the collision to come forward.A.
