Scots should brace themselves for blustery conditions as 80mph are set to blow across the country next week. The Met Office have issued a yellow wind warning for the whole of Scotland that is predicted to start from Tuesday evening, January 31, lasting until Wednesday morning.
Sunday will see cloudy conditions with light rain, which is to get heavier in the north as the day goes on. This is set to evolve into blustery showers, particularly in the north and will continue tonight.
People are being warned of potential "danger to life" injuries from falling debris and large waves in coastal areas, as well as possible damage to buildings.
Power cuts may also occur in place, affecting services like mobile phone coverage. Commuters are being urged to plan journeys in advance, as high winds may result in longer journey times or transport cancellations.
