Former Googlebox star Scarlett Moffatt was left shaken and in tears after a stranger tried to kidnap her at a train station on Wednesday night. The 31-year-old took to social media to recount the terrifying encounter at Kings Cross Station in London with a man who said he had been "waiting for her" and told her: "You're coming home with me." In a tearful video posted to her Instagram stories on Wednesday night, Scarlett sobbed as explained that two train guards had saved her from the man and escorted her back to her hotel. The reality TV star, who was confronted at the station after revealing on Instagram that she was on getting a train to London, also warned her 2.2 million followers about posting live locations on social media.

Scarlett said: "Right, I'm going to do this video, and not for attention or anything like that. "I'm doing this so that people realise the importance of using social media and not always posting where you are. "I stupidly, naively posted on Instagram saying, 'Off to London on the train' and when I got into King's Cross station, there was a guy there. "This guy came at me and was saying, 'Scarlett, I've been waiting for you.

You're coming home with me.' And then I said, 'Oh no, thank you' and walked off. "And then he followed me and was like, 'Scarlett, Scarlett, you're coming home with me.

I'm taking you home with me'." The TV personality from County Durham explained that two LNER workers intervened outside the station by pretending she was meeting with them, then walked her to the safety of her hotel.
