Lorraine Kelly praised Sam Heughan for being an ambassador for Scotland through all of his projects. The Dumfries-born actor is best known for his role as Jamie Fraser in Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, but has authored books and created a documentary series about his love for his homeland too.
The 42-year-old actor joined forces with fellow Scot and Outlander co-star Graham McTavish for their Starz series Men In Kilts, where they travel throughout Scotland and explore it's history and culture.
The dynamic duo have teamed up again for a second series as they explore the Scottish connections to Graham's home country in New Zealand. It's no surprise Lorraine thinks he is a great ambassador for Scotland as the actor joined the TV host on her ITV show today. When discussing his Outlander character, Lorraine insists Jamie is 'lovely' before Sam quips: "He's not bad...
For a ginger".Lorraine adds: "It's actually put Scotland on the map as well, I mean internationally.""Yes it has, I'm a huge lover of my home land as is yourself.
