Symptoms caused by Hepatitis A include fever, nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, dark-coloured urine and jaundice. The FSA said Sainsbury's is recalling the products and point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products.
Customers who have bought the dates are being urged "do not eat them." Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund." The recall applies to 200g and 500g packs of the dates with all best before dates.
