Rylan revealed he was "excited" on Monday's It Takes Two as he announced a new former Strictly Come Dancing pro joining him and co-host Janette Manrara on the BBC show.

During the instalment, the presenter, 33, revealed that Choreography Corner was back and pro Joanne Clifton, who announced she was leaving Strictly in 2017, would be permanently hosting the segment now called Clifton's Choreography Corner.

Speaking to Joanne, 38, on the BBC show, Rylan said: "I am so excited to see you because not only are you doing our first Choreography Corner… she is now the face of Choreography Corner!" To which Joanne said: "I am so grateful to be here, I love It Takes Two and to just have been asked to do this, I'm like: 'Thank you so much!'" With Rylan declaring: "We're thrilled to have you, absolute pleasure so thank you for agreeing to do it - can’t wait to spend the series with you!" Addressing her new role to RadioTimes, Joanne added: "I am so incredibly honoured to be taking the lead with Choreography Corner this year!

Strictly has been – and continues to be – a massive part of my life. "I've always had a brilliant time on It Takes Two and it has been a joy to be able to come back and visit my Strictly family since hanging up the sequins in 2016.
