Ryan Tubridy reveals how Toy Show Appeal €6.6million was spent

How the whopping €6.6 million the first-ever Toy Show Appeal raised will be spent has been revealed. The Late Late Toy Show in November saw a huge sum raised, inspired by Galway’s Saoirse Ruane, and the Toy Show Appeal was born.

Now it the way in which the funds will be divvied out to various children’s charities has been shard. Speaking about the mammoth donations people gave, Ryan Tubridy said, ‘We want to offer a huge thank you to every single person who donated.

We were quite simply overwhelmed with the response from an audience who have been so, so giving. It’s safe to say our expectations were exceeded, beyond all our hopes.’ ‘Children like Saoirse and Adam inspired and lifted the nation when we really needed it.
