Fans of the Royal family have been left divided after Wednesday night's (22 September) BBC tribute to Prince Phillip.The touching documentary included numerous Royals, notably the Prince’s children and grandchildren, praising the late monarch, his dedication to his family, the Queen, his conservation efforts and the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.
But while viewers were touched by these affectionate accounts, many were saddened by the absence of Kate Middleton – whose bond with her grandfather-in-law was well-documented.
Philip was especially close with Kate, as they bonded over their interest in sailing and sport. After his retirement, many of Philip’s roles were assigned to the Duchess of Cambridge, including the honorary position of commandant.
