Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
Palace aides reportedly think it’s time for Prince Harry to give up his title after trashing the royal family in his latest interview.
In case you missed it, the 36-year-old appeared on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, where he compared life as a prince as “a mix between The Truman Show” and “being in a zoo.” The Duke of Sussex also bashed Prince Charles’ parenting skills, saying that he wanted to “break” the cycle of “genetic pain and suffering” with his and Meghan Markle’s children.
He explained: Related: Here Is How The Royal Family Honored Baby Archie’s 2nd Birthday! YIKES! Yeah, there is no coming back from this… It will probably take a miracle and a half to repair the relationship in the future — if they ever want to that is.
